Cyrator breaks the crypto review process into categories such as idea, team, technology, tokenomics, progress, etc. Analysts can write reviews and provide ratings for each category which are then combined into a comprehensive overview of each project. Analysts can employ their own research methodology within this framework, but they are encouraged to cite their sources via a citation feature.
Reviews are sorted by the highest upvotes by default. For recency critical categories, like progress for example, outdated reviews receive an age penalty. Analysts will be notified if one of their highly rated reviews is in danger of receiving an age penalty, allowing them to update their review in time.
A project's Overall Rating is computed as the weighted sum of individual review ratings, adjusted for the count of likes and upvotes each post receives. Each type (like and upvote) has a predefined weight which scales its impact on the final rating. This ensures that reviews with higher quality (as determined by upvotes) have a proportionally greater influence on a project's overall rating. Formula:
Where:
The network utilizes its native token, CURE, along with a points system, to reward analysts for their valuable contributions. Analysts accrue points through activities such as writing reviews, receiving likes on their reviews or giving out upvotes. At the conclusion of each week, Cyrator distributes a predetermined amount of CURE tokens proportionally among analysts based on their total points earned relative to the sum of all points awarded that week.
This method ensures a fair and transparent allocation of rewards, directly correlating an analyst’s earnings to their engagement and the community’s appreciation of their contributions. This approach not only incentivizes quality content creation but also fosters an active and collaborative community of analysts.
Community members can staking CURE to support the analysts of their choice. Stakers receive a share of weekly rewards from a staking pool. Rewards are proportional to an analyst's share of the week's points. This incentivizes stakers to support analysts who write high quality reviews. Rewards decrease linearly with the number of stakers per analyst, incentivizing stakers to discover and support new talent.
Analysts also boost their earnings based on the amount staked by their supporters. This encourages analysts to write high-quality reviews and promote their reviews to new audiences. Analysts with a high number of subscribers are required to stake a certain amount of their earnings as collateral."
Our platform has several features planned or already implemented to manage fast-changing information on a particular project:
Analysts can edit their posts, ensuring that their analysis is up-to-date and relevant. Posts have a transparent edit history, allowing users to view previous versions of the post and track changes.
Only the top-rated reviews will carry significant weight in the overall rating, and analysts will be incentivized to regularly update their top-performing posts.
Analysts will receive periodic reminders to review their top-performing posts, with the frequency of reminders varying based on the category of the post. If analysts repeatedly fail to update their posts, they will receive an age penalty and their posts will gradually drop off from the top.
Progress Reviews allows analysts to update the community on key developments through stacked reviews, displaying the latest on top. The average rating from all a user's submissions is used.
Optional Rating Feature allows team members to disable ratings on a review, enabling them to post informative updates without affecting the project's overall rating.
While the sharing and comparison of research is important, it's also important to ensure the integrity of the research. Cyrator has several protocols in place to minimize the risk of fraud on the platform.
Instead of earning tokens immediately, analysts earn points for publishing a review or when people upvote their reviews. Cyrator publishes how many tokens each analyst will earn based on their points at the end of the week. However, the tokens are only transferred 1 week later to give the community time to scrutinize their earnings and report bad actors.
Any community member can earn rewards by reporting bad behavior. All earnings are transparently listed in the app and our leaderboard makes it easy to find and scrutinize the highest earners. Users can inspect who upvoted a post to make sure they weren’t fake accounts. Bounty hunters can also report plagiarism, shilling, and cyberbullying, among other harmful activities. Initially, the Cyrator team will make the final call on reported behavior, but eventually token holders will vote on the most important decisions.
Cyrator is set to enhance the user verification process to better accommodate the platform’s open nature and ensure the integrity of contributions. Scheduled for implementation in the coming months, these updates are designed to foster widespread participation while maintaining high standards of quality through a structured progression system.
Open Platform: Anyone can join Cyrator and immediately begin writing, curating, and moderating content. This inclusive approach encourages widespread participation while maintaining quality through a structured progression system.
Role Advancement: Users start with basic capabilities but can unlock advanced roles such as Analyst, Curator, and Moderator by meeting specific, scalable criteria:
Analysts: Required to write several posts and receive upvotes from multiple curators.
Curators: Must curate content for a specified period and maintain a favorable reputation score.
Moderators: Need to have been active as an Analyst or Curator for a designated period, possess a history of successful reports, and be elected by existing moderators.
Stake and Reputation Requirements: To ensure accountability, users advancing to higher roles must stake CURE tokens. The open platform uses a Reputation System where users gain or lose reputation points based on their actions. Negative behaviors, such as spamming or biased voting, lead to reputation penalties, which can result in slashing or bans for severe violations.
Rewards and Incentives: As users progress and take on more significant roles within the community, they unlock different types of rewards and become eligible for periodic distributions of CURE tokens based on their contributions and engagement levels.
